Wilder Napalm

Reluctant telekinetic pyromaniac Wilder Foudroyant (Howard) matches his incendiary abilities with his equally conflagratory brother Wallace (Quaid) to keep the hand of his fetching pyromaniac wife Vida (Winger). Director Caron, creator of "Moonlighting," manages to retain the gleeful wackiness which permeated that TV show while allowing these accomplished performers sufficient latitude to uncover, layer by layer, telling moments of poignancy. An inventive, witty script and lively pacing contribute to this satisfactory examination of escalating sibling rivalry and lingering childhood guilt.
