Veteran character actor Coco gives a poignant performance in a rare lead role as a fading silent comic. The wild Hollywood party is supposed to harken his comeback but ends in tragedy. This early Merchant Ivory production is loosely based on the Fatty Arbuckle scandal of the 1920s.
