REVIEW
This claustrophobic little oddity stars Hagerty and Noonan as a couple of New Age therapists whose Sunday evening quiet is shattered when one of their patients (Shawn) and his ex-stripper wife (Young) unexpectedly show up at their door. It becomes immediately clear that Young is a bull in an emotional china shop as she peppers her hosts with embarrassing questions and makes untoward remarks about her husband. As the evening progresses it becomes increasingly evident that the doctors need to heal themselves and, though she's no paragon of mental health, Young is the only one at the table being honest, however inappropriate. Nice camera work and editing make The Wife feel more zippy than it actually is, but the film can't quite rise above its "small" premise.
