The notorious Ken Russell, in a kind of follow-up to Crimes of Passion, takes a less-successful walk down those streets of despair, leaving behind his bag of psychedelic tricks. Sadly, what is intended as a searing insight into the world of prostitution completely misses the mark under Russell's histrionic mis-direction. Russell sleepwalks, er, streetwalks through this talky tale of a hooker on the run from her psychotic pimp.
