REVIEW
Whoever thought it prudent to awaken this "sleeping dog" no doubt wished to exercise his "basic instinct" for moneymaking by cashing in on the now-bankable talents of a pre-Basic Instinct Sharon Stone. But, despite her overwhelming presence on the display box, the icepick princess has less than 15 minutes of screen time as the agent (and sometimes lover) of a hapless screenwriter (McDermott) who passes off research work about a gruesome mass murder as fiction -- only to have the real murderer show up on his door-step.
