REVIEW
Screenwriter-director Hare has fashioned a fascinating and thought-provoking film which tackles such uncomfortable themes as loneliness, loveless relationships and the death of innocence. Redgrave is a quiet Yorkshire schoolteacher who, after the violent suicide of a young man who entered her life, must search her past and present in order to arrive at some understanding of her priorities.
