REVIEW
Superb work from an accomplished cast does justice to a well-balanced and finely crafted script from codirector Jimenez, based on his own experiences. Stoltz is a young writer who winds up in rehabilitation after becoming paralyzed in an accident. Snipes and Forsythe are fellow paraplegics. Jimenez deftly avoids the potential heavy-handedness of his subject and instead tells his story with a wit and warmth which is unsentimental and uncompromising and invites favorable comparison to Marlon Brando's first film vehicle, The Men.
