Bonnaire is mesmerizing in this hauntingly nihilistic account of an aimless young woman's final days. The beginning of the film finds the girl's frozen body in a ditch. Then told in flashback by the last people to have had contact with her, the film attempts to piece together the life and values of this complex teenager. A stunning film experience and one of the most important and powerful French films in recent memory. (French with English subtitles)
