Under Milk Wood

Set in lush and visually stunning Wales, this production of Dylan Thomas' classic play is performed with theatrical genius by its three leads. Thomas' glorious poetry sparkles in this tale of a day in the life of the mythical village of Llareggub. The film has been rightly accused of over-ambitiousness and, indeed, the sense of production does weigh some of the material down. But it still offers a sterling example of ensemble acting from three great thespians.
