REVIEW
Sad to report that as good as The Last Picture Show is, its sequel, Texasville, is as bad. In a small, dusty town in 1970s Texas, frumpy and double-chinned Bridges is in the throes of midlife crisis: he's disillusioned and broke, married to an unresponsive, verbally abusive Potts and attracted to the returning "look but don't touch" Shepherd. Strangely, the plot is lifeless, uninvolving and tepid, especially in light of the film's intended goal of being a torrid Southern sexual comedy.
