The $100 million price tag on this impressive sci-fi extravaganza sequel made a lot of jaws drop, but that's nothing compared to what the rip-roaring, non-stop action and eye-popping special effects do. The year is 1997. The evil cyborgs have sent the new, improved T-1000 terminator unit back through time on a mission to eliminate the future leader of the human resistance -- a typical Southern California adolescent named John Conner (nicely played by Furlong). But into the fray comes a second killing machine (guess who), reprogrammed by the humans and sent back to protect the lad. Together, they liberate his mom, Sarah (a buff Hamilton), who's been institutionalized for her babblings about robots from the future, and the relentless chase begins.
