Tank Girl

This semi-likable mishmash is sure to elicit squeals of joy from a few while giving migraines to many as it pounds its way through 104 minutes of non sequitured one-liners and plotless shenanigans. Petty is the title character, a buzz-cut grunge girl with a slightly phallic passion for tanks. Along for the ride is Watts as her sidekick Jet Girl. Together they join forces with the Rippers (a mutant band of half-human, half-kangaroo renegades) and battle the powerful Water and Power overlords (led by McDowell) in the year 2033. Though as visually bombastic as the worst of MTV and as narratively challenged as a "Monkees" episode, this might prove fun for the less-discriminating viewer looking for a mindless yuk to accompany their inebriated state.
