Sporting a versatile cast and stories by George Romero and Stephen King, among others, Tales from the Darkside: The Movie leaves behind the familiar, bloody turf covered by the likes of Freddy Krueger and Jason and instead calls upon evil housewives, gargoyles, mummies and a black cat to keep its audience on the edge of its seat. It's all good fun, but occasionally stumbles when it swings from a serious mood to tongue-in-cheek horror and back again.
