SKINOPSISBabes, bikers and blades! What more could you ask for in this re-released “classic” from the ‘70s? Teenage gang debutantes fight enemies in a series of brawls, rape sequences and prison scenes.
REVIEW
Worth its weight in gold as a cultural artifact of an unfortunate time in American cinematic history, Switchblade Sisters will undoubtedly entertain those audience members who are already in love with its dubious endowments: babes, bikers and blades. And no amount of argument from any one will convince them that the movie really is trash. The story is simple: teenage gang debutantes fight enemies within and without in a series of brawls, rape sequences and prison scenes (complete with lesbian guards). A new chickie, however, has come on the scene to challenge the authority of the ruthless gangleader. Are her switchblade skills up to par? Will her clothes come off in the climactic fight scene? The movie is too bad to sit through to find out.
