REVIEW
The first theatrical outing for the crew of the Starship Enterprise. Captain Kirk and friends are sent to stop a deadly energy field heading towards Earth. Not as exciting as its sequels, some good special effects help compensate for its extremely long running time. Still, if you're a "Star Trek" fan, you gotta love it. This is the extended edition, with 11 minutes added to the theatrical version. Editor's Suggestions
