Although the first Species left the door open for a sequel, it did not need to be this monstrosity. Henstridge, who was the gorgeous she-bitch Sil in the original, returns this time as Eve, a good half-alien who is the subject of a government research project. But the film's real story concerns as astronaut who contracts the deadly blood of Sil. When he returns to Earth to spread bad DNA through violent sex, it's only a matter ot time until he and Eve meet and mate. A Species that did not need to be profligated, Speces II gives cheesy alien sex and violence a bad name.
