Ritchie's best film is this hilariously biting satire of Americana. Dern is a small-town California car salesman who, with a perky and maniacally organized pageant coordinator (Feldon), helps organize the Young Miss Beauty contest. The "behind the scenes" peek at the pretty contestants, their amazingly talentless talent and the lascivious judges are only a few of the highlights of this perceptive and witty film.
