REVIEW
Alternately dull and annoying, this hip/cult flick wannabe wastes an interesting cast. A pathetic teenage boy, who still allows his screwy mother to bathe him, is inducted into the local mob after displaying some useful violent tendencies while tagging along with a friend on a standard shakedown. The last thing the world needs is another small-time crook/gangster movie, and the very last thing the world needs is one that is badly directed. Harry, who really tries to etch a character here, is let down by an ill-conceived role -- an unpleasant, manipulative witch with incestuous designs on her son. If director Bernstein had something interesting to say with all these sleazy schlock, or, at the very least, an ability to tell a story, that'd be one thing. As it stands, though, Six Ways is, in every way, a botch.
