REVIEW
An old-fashioned romantic comedy with an abundance of good laughs but caught in a "what-do-we-do-next" conundrum, Six Days, Seven Nights is a pleasant diversion with not much substance, but having Ford as a Charlie Allnut-like pilot certainly helps glide over the soft spots. Proving she can legitimately hold her own as a leading (and quite sexy) actress, Heche plays Robin, a successful New York magazine editor on vacation with her fiancé (Schwimmer). Called away on assignment, she hires Quinn (Ford), a craggy pilot, to fly her there. En route, they crash land on a deserted island during a storm. There the two mismatched castaways struggle against the elements and each other before falling in love. Ford and Heche are very agreeable here, and their chemistry adds to the enjoyment of the film. With its lush scenery, good humor and budding romance, Six Days, Seven Nights is certainly not a trip wasted. Editor's Suggestions
