Shattered (Tom Berenger)

A postmodern whodunit whose psychological complexities, which sometimes obscure the action, probably doomed this inventive, very exciting thriller at the box office. Berenger is left an amnesiac after a near-fatal accident and there are twists aplenty as he tries to get some idea of who he used to be, who he is now and who he can trust to tell him the truth. Scacchi is his loving wife (or is she?), and Hoskins is the private detective trying to solve Berenger's intricate puzzle. A film rich in suspense and overflowing in atmosphere and style.
