REVIEW
After her suicide attempt in the mountainous wilderness of France fails, Marianne, a young French-Canadian woman, wanders the area, avoiding contact with people and slowly losing her civilized self. She is eventually befriended by Elyseé, a lonely engineer working nearby at a dam, who nurses her back to health. The unlikely couple, seemingly against their will, soon fall in love. But their deepening relationship is strained by Marianne's secret: she's wanted by the police for murder. A taut melodrama kept interesting right until the surprise ending. (French with English subtitles)
