RFW's first comedy is a weird, vulgar and perverse story of the adventures of Walter Kranz (Raab), a "revolutionary" poet who imagines himself to be the 19th-century homosexual poet Stefan George. The film, shot in a black comedic slapstick style, boasts among its peculiar characters Kranz's butch wife (Caven), a retarded brother, a wart-faced admirer and a troupe of prostitutes.
