Brooks' hysterical farce is certainly one of the funniest films of all time. Mostel gloriously chews the scenery, the furniture and whatever else is in sight as a Broadway producer aching for a hit. He schemes with meek accountant Wilder to produce a flop and make a fortune. They happen upon "Springtime for Hitler" and its crazed Nazi author (Mars). The rest, as they say, is history.
