Furlong is as a troubled teen who must cope with the accidental death of his mother, a bullying sheriff (Brown) and the dark secrets of an ancient Indian burial ground with the power to restore life -- almost. Though better written (and acted) than the first, director Lambert seems unable to resist flaunting her heavy metal roots, investing any moments of genuine horror that might exist with a slick, rock ’n' roll flair. Here's hoping this fright franchise has found its final resting place.
