REVIEW
Jazz and romance in the City of Lights, as musicians Newman and Poitier court Woodward and Carroll. The film makes good use of a fine Duke Ellington score. Louis Armstrong makes a great cameo appearance in a smoky Paris jazz club. Like all Martin Ritt films politics make an appearance, there's a sub-plot involving racism. Entertaining and well done.
