Three losers try to better their financial situations by staging an armored car robbery in this adequate low-budget, independent comedy. A botched jewelry store heist and an abortive attempt to start a private cab company are only the latest in a string of failures for three friends. After saving the life of an armored car driver who suffers a heart attack on the road, they later get the idea to rob the same company in what passes for a master criminal plan. Almost annoyingly quirky, the film still has its merits. A hesitant romance between Forsythe's character, a shlump whose main companions are his two stinky dogs, and an equally down-on-her-luck clothing store clerk is the sweetest and most satisfying part of the film. Also noteworthy is Gallo's subplot, about his unhappy home life and his frequent escapes to the arms of his cute but underage neighbor.
