Night & Day (1991)
REVIEW
A breezy, post-feminist comedy about a woman's loving relationship with two men, Night & Day is a deceptively simple blending of Eric Rohmer's obsession with talky young lovers and the filmic exuberance of early Jean-Luc Godard. Julie and Jack live and love in blissful isolation. He drives a taxi in the evening, and during the day they make love. The arrangement is altered but not upset after Julie meets Joseph, a fellow taxi-driving young man. They also see each other and begin to fall in love. Julie is not in the least disturbed about seeing two men and refuses to choose between them. Erotic, stylish and unconventional. (French with English subtitles) You Might Also Like
