REVIEW
The story of a young writer's rites of passage, Naked in New York is appealing only in a dilapidated, disorganized sort of way. Stoltz stars as a bohemian Jewish New York playwright who meets a WASPy photographer (Parker) while in college and proceeds to set up housekeeping. Billed as a romantic comedy, this lacks the focus to be much of anything but a series of amusingly eclectic scenes tied together by Stoltz's artsy, philosophical angst. However, Turner steals the movie with her exuberant portrait of a boozy, pot-smoking seductress/actress.
