The Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult

Nielsen and company are back for another side-splitting round of slapstick hijinks and stupid puns in this third Naked Gun film cowritten by David Zucker and Pat Proft and helmed by first-time director Segal. Frank Drebin, now enjoying the bliss of retirement as his wife (Presley) goes to work, is persuaded by old pal Kennedy to help him on a case. This leads Drebin to prison where he befriends a terrorist and he eventually helps save the Academy Awards. As would be expected, the laughs are fast and furious, and Nielsen's comic timing and mugging is priceless. With everything from sperm banks to Hollywood neatly spoofed, all involved prove this is one series which has yet to run out of breath.
