From the makers of Airplane! and "Police Squad," comes this zany, irreverent and anarchistic comedy. Stonefaced Nielsen is Lt. Drebin -- a hilarious mixture of the bungling innocence of Mr. Magoo and Maxwell Smart with the ruthless and often sadistic crimefighting tactics of a Philly cop (no letters please!). Here we find Lt. Drebin investigating a plot to assassinate the Queen of England while she is on a visit to America. The story line, however, serves simply as a backdrop for the wild cavalcades of silly, sick and stupid jokes that we have come to expect from the Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker team. (Followed by 2 sequels)
