SKINOPSISIt's like the Young Guns of mafia movies and it's got titties! First, a delicate pair is exposed when Richard Grieco(!) cuts open this rich girl's shirt with a blade, then again when Lara Flynn Boyle's body double lets Christian Slater put her big poppers in his smarmy mouth. -- Rick Stanko
REVIEW
A stylishly made but flat underworld crime saga riddled with uneven characterizations and lots of bullets. The story follows the beginnings of the youthful partners-in-crime "Lucky" Luciano (Slater), Meyer Lansky (Dempsey) and "Bugsy" Siegel (Grieco). Ostensibly about the birth of a national organized crime syndicate, the film is content to be merely a glossy, bloody shoot 'em up. Even with an admirable re-creation of 1920s New York, Mobsters is recommended only for those who can't get enough of gangster stories. Editor's Suggestions
