Before she went sleuthing in "Murder She Wrote," Lansbury appeared as Agatha Christie's crack sleuth Miss Marple in this enjoyable, if slight, mystery. Miss Marple becomes involved with show people when Taylor is almost murdered. Taylor and Novak are well-cast as rival and catty movie queens.
