REVIEW
Thanks to a couple of winning performances from Danson and Goldberg, what might easily have been just another insipid comedy from the Hollywood mill is instead a fun-loving, briskly paced romp. When Goldberg's daughter, Zora (Long), discovers that she is the result of artificial insemination, she investigates only to discover that not only is her father white, but worse, he's Hal Jackson, the obnoxious, egotistical car dealer whose insane TV advertisements plague the local airwaves. She quickly goes to confront him with the fact and the hilarity begins. Of course, Danson and Goldberg slowly warm to each other and...well, you can guess the rest -- life really did imitate art (for awhile, anyway). Smith savors his role as Zora's gawky but pure-hearted best friend. You Might Also Like
