REVIEW
De Niro stars as an extremely mild-mannered police photographer who, after he saves the life of mobster/stand-up comic Murray, is given -- as a little "thank you" -- the service of Thurman for one week. This amiable comedy-drama finds its niche as a character study, focusing on how the harsh world can bring very different people together. De Niro and Thurman are both endearing and funny, in a clumsy sort of way, and Murray puts an oddly menacing (if not fully believable) air. Caruso, before his one-year-wonder stint on TV's "N.Y.P.D. Blue," is especially good as De Niro's police buddy. Editor's Suggestions
