"He's a mean, green mother from outer space and he's bad!" Science fiction, comedy and musical doo-wop blend wonderfully in this screen version of the hit off-Broadway musical, itself based on Roger Corman's 1960 exploitation cult classic. Audrey II, the alien Venus Flytrap with an appetite for human blood, befriends a nerdish Moranis in its fiendish plot to take over. The many show-stopping scenes include a great production number, "Downtown," and a maniacal Martin as a sadistic dentist who meets his match in Murray's hilariously masochistic patient.
