Lewis & Clark & George

On an exploration for a gold mine, ex-convicts Lewis (Xuereb) and Clark (Gunther) meet George (McGowan), a mute woman who is also on the lam. As this trio ride a bullet-paved path through the Southwest, friendship is tested, love blossoms, and betrayal rears its ugly head. Lewis & Clark & George offers nothing new in its depiction of greed prompting a killing spree, but writer-director McCall does employ some arty storytelling techniques as the bodies pile up. The three leads are attractive, but their characters are unlikable, and it becomes difficult to care who will survive and if the gold will ever be found.
