Even the buoyant presence of Fonda can't keep this inane thriller from drowning under the weight of its attitude-heavy, cliché-ridden plot. Writer-director Drysdale aims low and misses with a shopworn tale of two former friends, one of whom (Sweeney) is a reformed petty thief. The other (Elwes), however, still enjoys a life of crime until he finds himself on the run from a gang whose leader he has just killed.
