REVIEW
Backstage bedhopping and backstabbing make up The Leading Man, a guilty pleasure that has beautiful people seducing each other for fun and profit. Felix Webb (Wilson) is a successful West End playwright bedding Hilary (Newton), a ravishing talent seeking a plum role in his new play. When his gorgeous wife Elena (Galiena) discovers the affair, Felix conspires with the play's star, Hollywood hunk Robin Grange (Jovi), to seduce Elena and cure her malaise. Complications, of course, ensue. As directed by Duigan and written by his sister Virginia, the film never quite establishes the right tone -- it is dramatic romance, a dark comedy, or a soapy thriller? The material is a bit thin, but the actors seem to relish their juicy parts. You Might Also Like
