Kull the Conqueror

TV's "Hercules" Sorbo's straight-faced and sincere delivery is a pleasant surprise as the "man who would be king" of mythical Valusia -- if he can break the curse of a 3000-year-old sorceress (Carrere) with a plunging neckline and a taste for pyrotechnics. To do this, he borrows the ship and crew of an old pirate buddy (Fierstein!) for a quest to find the one thing that can end Akivasha's rule - the Breath of Valka. Nicolella's well-meaning but uneventful direction combines with unambitious special effects (not the least of which are Carrere's breasts) to make this a fun movie for anyone not expecting anything.
