Slater plays the brother of a San Francisco Police Patrol captain who inherits the security agency business after his sibling is murdered. Partnered with suspended cop Goldwyn, Slater takes on the killer and the slimy businessman he works for. The film is reminiscent of Beverly Hills Cop, especially in pacing, editing and musical score. And, like Eddie Murphy's hit, mixes action, suspense and lots of comedy; though not as successfully.
