SKINOPSISOk, so we're just a little confused. George A. Romero, who's made a living tormenting us with really good horror movies that have almost no nudity, fills this non-horror movie up with tits. Not crazy, constant tits, but more tits than he's ever put into a movie before or since. Don't you know the rules George? In Movieland, women-in-peril (or women who are in peril but don't know it) show their tits. But you have to be so different. Well, whatever. We're just grateful for the tits of Amanda Davies, Amy Ingersoll, Maureen Sadusk and Patricia Tallman that you've given us here. Just try to remember the rules of Movieland when you come out with Lunchbreak of the Dead or Small Autonomous Nation of the Dead or whatever you wind up calling it. -- Rick Stanko
REVIEW
This non-horror feature from Romero is a deeply personal, idealistic but perhaps naïve moral tale about the difficulties of remaining true to one's personal beliefs. King Billy (Harris) and his troop of knights travel around the country putting on motorcycle-jousting competitions and medieval fairs. The members of the group follow Billy and live this lifestyle because they want a respite from the pressures and temptations of the modern world. Ironically, their growing popularity brings these same pressures to bear upon their group, fragmenting it in the process. Harris is terrific in an early, pre-star performance, and a huge cast of supporting players lend authenticity. A rousing action-adventure. You Might Also Like
