Killing Time

Frustrated cop Fairbrass, spurred by the killing of his partner by a sicko local crime boss, calls on beautiful Italian assassin-for-hire Torgan to wipe out said criminal and his organization. He also arranges for some thugs to then kill her, once she's done the job, to avoid paying her pricey bill. Things, of course, don't go as planned, and many stylized shoot-outs follow. What begins as a low-rent but stylish and distinctly British thriller quickly degenerates into slick, empty '90s trash. The action scenes are incomprehensible, and while Torgan certainly strikes the right image as a sleek, chic hit lady, she demonstrates all the assassin know-how of a drunk Jerry Lewis. Still, if it's "hot chick with guns" night, Killing Time as least lives up to its title.
