SKINOPSISFrankly, we would've preferred less decency. Demi Moore's nipple is very briefly visible, but it's not a lot to write home about. -- Rick Stanko
REVIEW
Director Lyne has never been accused of being a subtle director. But nothing he's done before hints at the heavy-handedness of this silly romantic drama. Moore and Harrelson are a young married couple experiencing financial troubles. They head to Las Vegas and promptly lose everything. Then, Demi attracts the attention of zillionaire Redford who offers a million dollars to spend the night with her. Aside from the incredulous offer is the disturbing subtheme of "women as chattel." The film really hits bottom, though, after the deed is done. The last hour is dedicated to an unlikable couple whining about everything and Redford acting like a lovesick teenager. A conceit of such calculation it resembles a mathematical equation rather than a movie. You Might Also Like
