Hush (Gwyneth Paltrow)

Utterly ridiculous tripe about a manipulating mother (Lange) who will stop at nothing to get her son (Schaech) away from the city and back to the horse farm that is his legacy. Unfortunately, he’s quite happy living in New York with his perky new wife (Paltrow). Quicker than you can say “who put that hole in my diaphragm?”, Paltrow is pregnant and forced to reconsider life on the farm (especially after being mugged at knifepoint in her own apartment). Then things get really silly! This is the kind of film that relies on impossible actions and improbable reactions to proceed, and still it goes nowhere. Call it faint praise to say that the performances are good; the food on Titanic was good, too.
