REVIEW
Can a film which features 34 Flying Elvises be all bad? Writer-director Bergman has taken to task this age-old question, and in his capable hands, Honeymoon in Vegas, featuring those same 34 Flying Elvises, is a most pleasurable comedy. Cage and Parker are madly in love, and have traveled to Las Vegas to wed. But big-time gambler Caan sees Parker, who's a dead ringer for his late wife, and promptly tricks Cage into an arrangement to spend the weekend with her. From there it's an all-out free-for-all, as Cage, now certain he has lost his love, travels through hell and high water to get her back. Cage is at his most manic, handling each successive zany setback with frenzied comic abandon. Parker, as she was in L.A. Story, is a lovely and fiery comedienne. The 34 Flying Elvises, by the way, all perform admirably. Editor's Suggestions
