Though really nothing more than a formula buddy-cop comedy, the teaming of Fox and Woods proves to be a saving grace. Fox plays a spoiled Hollywood actor who is partnered with hard-boiled New York detective Woods when the former requests training for his next film assignment. Constantly at odds, Fox and Woods milk the situation dry; eliciting laughs even when the script doesn't warrant them. An amiable, harmless romp.
