A low-budget, post-apocalyptic tale, this early feature by McBride follows the travels of a primitive "Adam and Eve" couple scrounging for survival and looking for the fabled city of Metropolis. Clearly made in the heyday of the hippie movement, this minimalist parable is slowly paced but nevertheless intriguing in director McBride's quirky visual style. (Originally rated "X" in its theatrical release -- solely for a prolonged nude scene.)
