REVIEW
Indie crime drama is an interesting failure -- an attempt to meld a low-key gangster flick with an acting class. A group of New Yorkers -- all acting students from the same class who moonlight as hit men and the like for off-Broadway producer and crime boss Coltrane -- double-cross and murder each other, mostly in the name of securing a good stage role. While the satire is fairly original though obvious, it does get a little tiresome by the end, what with every member of the cast doing at least one monologue from a classic film or play. Frogs for Snakes is for crime film completists and acting students only. You Might Also Like
