An insipid sci-fi thriller from the producer/cowriter of Alien and Total Recall. With special effects which far outshine the acting, the film features a catatonic Estevez as a cocky race car driver who is taken from the 20th century into the future by the lunar-faced Jagger, who sports a smirk throughout the film as if to say, "And I get paid plenty for this!" Jagger is the hired hand of an evil industrialist who wants to prolong his life by transferring the life juices of our young hero into his dying body. Hopkins lends some class to the production in a small role.
