REVIEW
With as much about it to like as to dislike, The Flintstones is an appropriately cartoonish live-action version of the adored 1960s animated TV series. Featuring some neat special effects, playful performances and a less-than-beguiling script, the film is aided nicely by the near-perfect casting of Goodman and Perkins as Fred and Wilma, and Moranis and O'Donnell as Barney and Betty. The sluggish story has to do with Fred being promoted and used as a patsy by his devious supervisor. Sad to say, some of the TV episodes had more humor.
